Boots and Shoes: A day in the snow
Notes:
This painting commission was about capturing a memory. It's the story of Granddad out walking with his grandson on a snowy day. The picture is about their shared memory and connection, as they explored the local wildlife. On returning their snowy wet boots and shoes, were in danger of dripping all over the floor, and were thus quickly placed on a towel by Grandma. A quick photo was taken, and later made it's way to me to be captured forever in oil on canvas. A really nice idea, and a pleasure to paint.
